How to Organize Call Stages

Turn chaos into order. Use Call Stages to map your sales methodology directly onto your recordings.

Overview

Every successful sales call follows a structure. Whether it's MEDDIC, SPIN, or your own custom flow, you need a way to track it.

Call Stages allow you to label sections of your call (e.g., "Discovery", "Demo", "Pricing"). This turns a long recording into a navigable chapter list.

Stage Templates

Consistency is key. You don't want one rep calling it "Intro" and another "Opening".Stage Templates solve this.

Managing Templates

  1. Go to the Review Panel (the "Stages" tab in the sidebar).
  2. Click the Manage Templates button (gear icon).
  3. Here you can create, edit, or reorder stages for your entire organization.

Template Properties:

  • Label: The name (e.g., "Objection Handling").
  • Color: Visual indicator (e.g., Red for objections).
  • Default Notes: Pre-filled text to prompt reps (e.g., "What was the objection?").

Using Stages

Marking stages is fast and fluid.

  • While Listening: Hear a transition? Press B to drop a bookmark.
  • Select Stage: A menu appears. Click the stage template (e.g., "Demo Start").
  • Auto-End: When you mark the next stage, the previous one automatically ends. No need to manually stop timers.

Pro Tip

You can also right-click the waveform and select "Start Stage Here" to mark a stage without pausing the audio.

Review Panel

The Review Panel is where you see the big picture.

It lists all stages in chronological order. You can:

  • Jump: Click a stage to play that section.
  • Edit: Adjust the label or color if you made a mistake.
  • Analyze: See at a glance if you spent 40 minutes on "Small Talk" and only 5 on "Discovery" (oops).

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to use stages?
No, but they are highly recommended. Without stages, a 60-minute call is just a black box. With stages, it's a structured dataset.
Can I edit a stage after the call?
Yes. You can adjust the start and end times of any stage in the Review Panel.
Are templates shared with my team?
Yes. Templates are organization-wide, ensuring everyone speaks the same language (e.g., "Discovery" means the same thing to everyone).
