Zoom Integration Guide
Step-by-step instructions for integrating SalesAstro with Zoom

Adding the Zoom Integration

  1. Navigate to Settings: Log in to your SalesAstro account and go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find Zoom: Locate the Zoom integration card in the integrations list.
  3. Click Connect: Click the "Connect" button next to Zoom.
  4. Authorize Access: You'll be redirected to Zoom's authorization page. Review the permissions and click "Authorize" to grant SalesAstro access to your Zoom account.
  5. Confirmation: Once authorized, you'll be redirected back to SalesAstro, and the integration will show as "Connected" with your Zoom account information.

Using the Zoom Integration

Automatic Sync: Once connected, SalesAstro will automatically sync your Zoom meeting recordings. New recordings will appear in your Calls list within a few minutes of the meeting ending.

Webhook Processing: SalesAstro receives webhook notifications from Zoom when new recordings are available. These recordings are automatically processed through our transcription and analysis pipeline.

Deduplication: If you upload a call manually that was already synced from Zoom, our system will automatically detect and prevent duplicates based on meeting metadata.

Required Permissions

SalesAstro requests the following Zoom permissions:

  • Recording:Read: Access to view your meeting recordings
  • Meeting:Read: Access to meeting metadata and information
  • Webhook: Receive notifications when new recordings are available

Removing the Zoom Integration

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations in your SalesAstro account.
  2. Find the Zoom integration card.
  3. Click the "Disconnect" button.
  4. Confirm the disconnection. This will revoke SalesAstro's access to your Zoom account.
  5. Note: Disconnecting will stop automatic syncing of new recordings, but existing calls in SalesAstro will remain accessible.

Important Notes:

  • Only Zoom cloud recordings are synced. Local recordings must be uploaded manually.
  • Recordings must be enabled in your Zoom account settings.
  • Processing time depends on recording length and current queue load.
  • You can still manually upload recordings even with the integration connected.
